Basketball season starts

The high school and middle school basketball seasons have started. Cookeville High sophomore Abby Collins scored two points in the Lady Cavs 56-48 loss to Blackman on Saturday. CHS is 2-4 on the season and plays at Bradley County on Tuesday. Upperman freshman Ryan LaFever scored two points in a 81-59 win on Saturday. The Bees split their weekend games to move to 2-1 on the season. UHS travels to Gainesboro for a district game against Jackson County on Tuesday.
