Sophomore Abby Collins scored a team-high 15 points in the Cookeville Lady Cavs 40-31 win over Ponce de Leon in the semifinals of the Hilton Sandestin Beach Basketball Blowout on Thursday. CHS followed that up with a win in the championship game on Friday to move its overall record to 8-9. Abby netted four points in that contest. Meanwhile, the Upperman High boys basketball team dropped its second game in Kentucky. Freshman Ryan LaFever did not play in the contest.
